today i did research on my project that i am doing on using visual presentations more in the classroom.

Today i started a google document, i wrote two paragraph explaining the differences between the school in Mexico and U.S. and why i don't like some of that changes and why i like others.

Progress on Music vs. No Music

So far I have stated the facts on reasons why we should listen to Music during school hours. So, iv'e decided to make reasons why people would think that students shouldn't listening to music during school and make a counter argument to those reasons and then make my final conclusion statement. That's what iv'e done and what i'm about to do for now.

Today I shared some links that are talking about strategies to help ELL students.

Project update -Jessica and Alexis

Alexis and I interviewed 2 students today about listening to music in class while doing work. The first person was a 9th grade student. She said that she does find listening to music helpful during individual work time. She notices that if she is not listening to music while working she is more likely to talk to others in the class. The other student is in 11th grade and doesn't usually listing to music.

My Interviews By: Alexis St.Clair
Well I went to my resource hour today and interviewed 3 students and 1 teacher. Here is their opinion on letting us students listen to music while doing homework or quizzes or tests.

Brittany Davila - I think students should be aloud to listen to music while doing homework but not during quizzes and test.

Mrs.Brazier- If the music is soft, on a low volume, without sharing with other students, and without changing songs constantly, then a resource student may listen to music during work time. Listening to music during quizzes, tests, and exams is not allowed.

Songyul Musayeva- I think music should be aloud to listen to in class while doing homework because it helps most students finish homework fast.

Elizabeth Maynard - I think music should be aloud in class for test and homework to block out people.

New update

I listened my history class and take some notes. It helps me a lot because I write down something that is I can not understand and I can translate it at home.

Yet another update?

I've been making along just fine for the week, i have been tho trying to load some humor, with not much working for that. Hopefully i'll be done soon and y'all can lay eyes upon it. Muahhhhhhha!

Ops, sorry, kinda fell asleep typing again. Yup, i'm getting closer to a finish in sight, Should be up and finished soon.

So far on whether students should be able to listen to music during school, i've asked 6 people and they gave positive feedback and i have to slides done on my power point as well so over all its going very well.

Helping Students
Students who still have to learn English, because they are from a different country don't understand every single word. That's why it's really hard to follow what the teacher's talking about. Therefore it's import that the teacher always makes clear what he's talking about. Also it's good to show pictures and give simple examples.

Notes on the Board

I am a student who is studying English now and I am doing my English vocabularies learning project. During the class, many times I missed lots of important words and lost the main idea specially science and history. Watching the videos is the most difficult to me. It has too much words that I haven't heard about. So I hope teacher can write the notes on the board or check the notes with the class.

Allowing Music in Class

The power point I am making is to let students listen to music during classes. Evidence in my project are the following. Say if there is someone who is talking loud or just being annoying, you can put on a pair of headphones and listen to soothing music. Study also show that listening to music helps students focus more then not listening to it. Also before a test, its good to listen to music because it calms you down and relax your brain and gives better preparation for the exam.

Hi my name is Devan. what i'm doing for my project is a game rating presentation that will help teachers find some games that students enjoy and that are educational at the same time. the point of this is that teachers will know that the students are getting something out of something so simple as playing games.

Bio Mom!!!!

Here's a list of things our bio teacher does that dawn and I think help us learn and get better grades.

1.Lets us sit wherever we like.

2.Rarely gives us home work, and no homework on Friday's ever.

3. Our class does a lot of hands on activity.

I find it that if you don’t involve the students in an activity like a lab then they won’t pay attention and learn as much as they would in a lab. The reason i would say this is because that you have to listen to know what you have to do for that experiment plus it much easier to understand and object when its right in front of you then being told, its kinda like its scarier to be around a ghost then hearing a story about a ghost.
